A great one liner…

Write On Wednesdays

Im putting it all out there this week…blog finally up and running (well some tweaking to do still) so thought I’d give  Ink Paper Pens Online Writing Group a go…sitting on the sidelines gets you nowhere…

Looking into her eyes, with those giant tears just perched ready to drop at any moment, she took a deep breath and began to explain exactly where he had gone…

That sentence makes my chest hurt…I guess thats the whole point of writing…it turns the inside out.

Looking forward to next week

  1. I can think of a few things that would be painfully hard to explain… A very suggestive line, makes my imagination run wild.

  2. Sometimes, it is very hard to explain what we feel or react at some unexplanable things, but all credit goes to those who have the courage to expose those hurtful emotions. Well done!

  3. It made my chest hurt too. It could be in relation to all manner of things but it’s the kind of one liner I think everyone can probably relate to a situation of their own.

    Glad you took the plunge!

  4. Hi Sarah, I am so pleased you decided to join in, now we know you are here! The image of the tears ready to drop, the breath before the words – nothing like a difficult conversation. You said it was hard not to keep writing, please feel free to continue with this in weeks to come. Many of the WoWers do continue with ongoing stories/characters/themes.

I just popped over to read your About Me page. I am very interested to read more from you!

Welcome to WoW. I hope you find it as worthwhile as I do.

  5. You did a great job with the prompt! I love how this insinuates so many things 🙂

  6. Great job with the prompt, Sarah! So descriptive, and full of emotion.

I also nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award at my blog! Come on over and check it out. =)
